17. A good friend.

    My best friend is, without a doubt, my boyfriend. Yes, we’re that kind of couple, had you not noticed yet? From the very first moment I met him, I knew that we were soulmates. Our relationship is not only romantic, but of deep friendship as well. 

    Something that will always be a shock for me is asking someone in a relationship who their best friend is and having them answer someone who isn’t their partner. I could never imagine being closer friends with someone else than with my partner. We click together perfectly, we share hobbies, likes and dislikes (with some exceptions that we bicker over such as tuna, which should be a crime to love as much as he does) and even life experiences. We trust each other and we have great communication, we can discuss anything and everything. Now matter how hard it may be for us to talk about something, we know that we can be vulnerable when we’re together.

    For me, the qualities of a “best friend” are included within the qualities of being my partner. Why would you date someone if you can’t call them your best friend?
